Created in the Dijon District in 1925, but closed from 1934 to 1936 and from 1939 to 1965. In 1990 it became part of the Geneva Stake and in 2005 it moved to the Lausanne Stake.

Created in the Bern Stake in 1994 out of the Biel Branch, which later became a German-speaking ward in the Bern Stake. The Bienne Branch moved to the Geneva Stake in 1995 and to the Lausanne Stake in 2005.
A detailed history of the Biel Branch from 1906 to 1984 was written in 2020. Records from the Biel Branch starting in 1865 were shared with the Church History Library.
