Created in 1967 in the Lille District, it became part of the Lille Stake in 1988. Some boundaries were adjusted with Arras, Calais and Saint Quentin Wards in 2022.

The Church History Library holds the letter written by John Taylor in 1851 from Arras, and John Taylor's inspection of sugar beets in Arras, to import them for use in Utah.
