Created in 1967 in the Lille District, it became part of the Lille Stake in 1988. Some boundaries were adjusted with Arras, Calais and Saint Quentin Wards in 2022.

Oral histories of Pierre Poussard (2016) and Jean-Pierre and Catherine Cuvelier (2023) have been shared with the Church History Library, as well as branch and ward records from 1914 and later.

Created as the Arras Branch of the Lille-Arras District in 1967, it was named the Artois Branch in 1985. It became the Arras Ward in the Lille Stake in 1988. Boundary changes were made in 2009 to include the Lens Ward, and in 2022 to adjust with Amiens and Saint Omer Branches and the Calais, Lille, Valenciennes and Villeneuve d'Ascq Wards.

The Church History Library holds the letter written by John Taylor in 1851 from Arras, and John Taylor's inspection of sugar beets in Arras, to import them for use in Utah.

Created in 1969 but between 1981 and 1988 it was closed and members attended the Calais Branch. It became a ward in 1988 and was made a branch again in 1992. Boundary changes were made in 2022 to adjust with Saint Omer Branch and Lille Ward.

Created as the Lille Branch in the Lille-Arras District before 1970, it bore the name Lille-West Branch from 1982 to 1984. It became the Villeneuve d'Ascq Ward in the Lille Stake in 1988.
